I am ready to give thanks already...

HA! That is just my way of saying I am ready for Thanksgiving to be here! This short week is feeling like an eternity! We will be traveling to McComb, MS for Thanksgiving to be with my Granny who is not doing very well. So sad to see her so dramatically decline in less than a years time. She has provided such wonderful Thanksgiving meals for us for so many years, I feel so blessed to be able to provide for her this year. Ashley (my cousin) and I coordinated to get everything we would need for an appropriate feast! Just got to go get the groceries tonight!

The HPC Thanksgiving Outreach at the Baton Rouge Dream Center was great. We delivered meals to 3 families. I only wish we could have handed out more. Next year we will. With this being our first year we really had no idea what to expect.

Gearing up for the holidays!

I cannot believe that Thanksgiving is NEXT WEEK! This year we are so excited to be delivering meals with our church. We are going Saturday morning and then going to New Orleans (i think) to watch the game with our friends Jourdan and Beth and their new little one, Meg. We are going to bring them some chili! Boy is it nice not to have to worry about dinner with a newborn in the house!

I am also looking forward to the Saturday after Thanksgiving when I and Carter's sisters are having a girls day out! Thanks for watching the kids, babe. I promise you can play golf after :)

Life is about to get more interesting.

Well, it is official. Andrew is crawling! from this moment on life is going to get more hectic...i can tell already. It is welcome, though. One step (crawl) toward independence. No more setting him down and walking away. Time to BABYPROOF!

ELECTION DAY!

Getting up EARLY to vote before work tomorrow. Praying for the election tonight. No matter the outcome, God is in control. He has known who will win before the candidates were even chosen. He will not change and we will not change in Him. GO MCCAIN!

what a great weekend!

Just a quick update on the weekend's events. Us girls finished up Live the Dream on Saturday morning then headed out to the LSU-Georgia game. didn't stay too long. Instead we went back to Aunt A's to let the kids play and watch the game there.

On Sunday we headed out to Central to visit my best friend Alicia who was in from San Diego. She and her bf, Dev, got engaged on Friday and she asked me to be her matron of honor! The wedding will be next year in San Diego around the time of our FIVE YEAR wedding anniversary, so this will be our little celebration :) Mom has already offered to watch the kiddos! YAY!

WARRIOR!

Live the Dream was awesome tonight! April Simons was the speaker; she is Joel Osteen's sister. She spoke about women being Warriors; not just survivors existing in our world, but warriors who fight until we win! VERY INSPIRATIONAL! I am excited about the next two days and what they have in store. 3 more sessions!

Live the Dream

I am so excited to attend Live the Dream at Healing Place Church this year. My sister-in-law, Nicole, went last year and loved it so much that she signed me and Adrienne up this year. Thanks Nicole! The conference is tonight, tomorrow morning, tomorrow night, and Saturday morning. No doubt it will be first class as all HPC events are. Please pray for Carter as he will be in charge of two kids' bedtimes two nights in a row! You can do it, babe!

We are so blessed to have found such an amazing church community. Carter attends the weekly men's Bible study Wednesday mornings at Frank's in Prairieville. He and John try to attend every week. We are so happy to be living in the same town as (almost) all of our family. Hopefully that is God's plan for us for the future.

Dancing Tonight

Gabby has dancing on Wednesday nights. She is really enjoying it. She takes tap and ballet and there will be a recital in May! They were measured for their costumes last week. I am curious to see what kind of dances they will be doing. I love that she is finally old enough to get involved in activities. It will be interesting to see what she gravitates toward most. We are going to put her in soccer at church when she turns 4!
